Beachside Bagels’ October Bagel of the Month inspired this guide. Ironically, it isn’t a bagel, but a Philly cheesesteak and a delicious work of art nonetheless. With the special available only on Fridays throughout October 2026 at both Henley Beach and Port Noarlunga, I wanted to bring together five Adelaide cheesesteaks for you to try this month.

Their September 30 announcement describes Scotch fillet with onion and green peppers, provolone and American cheese, chipotle and a soft Martin’s hoagie. Full disclosure: Beachside Bagels is my brother’s shop.

The five below are in no particular order. I have brought together menus, customer comments and local recommendations, alongside my own videos where available. This is a researched shortlist rather than a taste-test ranking.

1. Gabagool, Flinders Park

Gabagool’s menu lists Scotch fillet, grilled onion, grilled capsicum and mild provolone. Its American-style sub approach makes it a natural contender for a cheesesteak guide.

What customers say: July and August 2026 delivery reviews include enthusiastic cheesesteak-specific praise. A Google review reproduced by Wanderlog praises tender steak and friendly service but questions value. The sandwich showed 88% positive feedback from 18 Uber Eats item ratings when checked. The feedback is encouraging without being unanimous.

Find it: 170 Grange Road, Flinders Park. Menu and customer reviews. Google reviews reproduced by Wanderlog.

2. Bambino Food Truck

Bambino replaces a fixed shopfront with a food truck experience. Its current Classics menu lists Scotch fillet, provolone, caramelised onion and Kewpie mayo in a buttery bun. It also lists a separate cheesesteak panino with provolone and American cheese, so check which version is being served when you visit.

Watch my Bambino video below for a closer look at my visit.

What the research says: the official menu confirms the cheesesteak, and food-truck coverage also lists it among Bambino’s offerings. I did not find enough detailed, independently attributable cheesesteak customer reviews to claim a broad customer consensus. My video gives this section a personal reference alongside the menu information.

Find the truck: check Bambino’s website for its latest stops and menu. The website lists Angle Vale and Virginia trading stops, but mobile locations and service times can change.

3. Burger Incredible, Unley

Burger Incredible’s menu lists 220g Scotch fillet, American cheese, grilled onion and mayonnaise in a buttered hoagie roll. It is a substantial steak-and-cheese option alongside the burger menu.

What customers say: several written reviews specifically praise the Philly, although many visible examples date from 2023. Its current Uber Eats item listing showed 90% positive feedback from 44 ratings when checked. That is useful sandwich-specific feedback rather than relying on the restaurant’s overall burger rating.

Find it: 111 Unley Road, Unley. Official menu. Customer feedback.

4. Z-Town

Z-Town’s official menu lists thinly sliced Scotch fillet, caramelised onion, Swiss cheese and mayonnaise on a Turkish oval roll. The cheese and bread choice give it a different take from the other sandwiches here.

I have also featured Z-Town’s Philly cheesesteak in my own video. Watch it below.

What customers say: a Google review reproduced by Wanderlog specifically praises the generous filling of tasty steak and describes the cheesesteak as excellent. The same review mentions a wait during a busy visit. Z-Town also appears in local recommendations for an Adelaide cheesesteak. Broader burger reviews should not be mistaken for reviews of this sandwich.

Check Z-Town’s official menu and current location before visiting. Read customer reviews.

5. Salty Dog Seafood and Grill, Port Adelaide

Salty Dog’s menu combines grilled steak, caramelised onion, American cheese and garlic butter in a toasted hotdog roll. The Dogs Cheese-steak Deal includes chips and a drink.

What customers say: the deal showed 96% positive feedback from 66 Uber Eats item ratings when checked. It also received a recommendation in a local Adelaide cheesesteak discussion. There were fewer detailed written sandwich reviews available, so the strongest evidence is the positive feedback attached to the actual item.

Find it: 31 McLaren Parade, Port Adelaide. Menu and customer feedback.

Bonus: Beachside Bagels’ Philly cheesesteak BOTM

Back to the special that started this article. October’s Bagel of the Month is, ironically, not a bagel. It is a Philly cheesesteak, and a delicious work of art nonetheless.

The shop’s announcement brings together thinly sliced Scotch fillet, onion, green peppers, provolone, American cheese and chipotle in a Martin’s hoagie. This one gets a bonus spot because it is an October Friday special rather than a permanent menu pick.

The October Philly cheesesteak BOTM is available only on Fridays throughout October 2026 at both Beachside Bagels locations: Henley Beach and Port Noarlunga. It is not available on the other trading days.

As of 4 October, there are four Fridays left to try it: Friday 9 October 2026, Friday 16 October 2026, Friday 23 October 2026 and Friday 30 October 2026.

Beachside Bagels locations and opening hours

Henley Beach: 2/330 Seaview Road, Henley Beach. Open Friday to Sunday, 8:30am to 12pm. For the October special, visit on a Friday during those trading hours.

Port Noarlunga: 19 Saltfleet Street, Port Noarlunga. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 8:30am to 2pm. The October Philly special is Friday only, even though this location opens on other days.

These are the current hours published on Beachside Bagels’ official website, checked on 4 October 2026. Check for any changes and special availability before visiting.

The Mia Margarita connection

Beachside Bagels in Henley Beach is part of the same enterprise as Mia Margarita, operating from the same Seaview Road venue. The same team of amazing chefs you know and love from Mia Margarita is behind the delicious bagels, creative sandos and fresh sandwiches at Beachside.

The specialty drinks menu is also available throughout the venues’ regular trading hours, alongside the food. You do not have to wait for the Friday BOTM to enjoy Beachside’s regular bagels, sandwiches and drinks.

The shared team and venue connection is also covered in Glam Adelaide’s Beachside Bagels feature.

Which cheesesteak will you try this month?

This guide combines menus, customer feedback and my featured videos to help you choose your next feed. Item ratings use different samples and are not directly comparable taste scores. Check current availability before visiting, especially for food-truck stops and monthly specials.
